The Steering Committee of the National Optimists Party (NOP) is pleased to announce that after an extensive nation wide search. qualified candidates for the offices of President and Vice President of the United States of America have emerged.
Mrs. Evelyn Darling, from the great state of Indiana, has consented to represent the Party as its Presidential candidate and run on the NOP ticket in the coming November elections. She is joined by Mr. Adam Doolittle of New York as her Vice Presidential running mate.
Mrs. Darling is making herself and our positions known to you through speeches and campaign ads, as are Mr. Doolittle, her Vice Presidential running mate and other proposed members of her Cabinet. We regret the mainstream media has not offered you all a closer look at our candidates, but we hope you’ll understand we’re doing our best with our available resources.
It is with great pride and pleasure we introduce to the nation and the world the National Optimists Party ticket for President and Vice President of the United States of America in 2008 and the party campaign slogan:
